In overall terms, digital radio supports the core values of radio - Universality, Portability and Convenience. The addition of exciting multi-media content on a screen, will make the listening experience richer and more enjoyable. One of the most important drivers in the success of digital radio will be the take-up of the new receivers by the general public. SCORE is committed to ensuring the success of this new technology. Directly and through Industry Initiatives with manufacturers and retailers, SCORE will seek to build awareness and accessibility to receivers, both in terms of price and outlets. To further these aims, SCORE is an active member of UK Digital Radio Forum (UKDRF) and C-Dig (Commercial Digital Implementation Group). These groups are jointly running extended feature flexing demonstration transmissions in London (The DRAFFT Project) to offer manufacturers the opportunity to develop and test their products prior to large scale production.
